Leaves:
- Semi-evergreen
(Most winters in the Northeast, most leaves fall off or turn brown and hang on the twigs. Depends on severity of weather and exposure to sun and wind.)
- Long and narrow
- 3 to 8 inches long, 1 to 1.5 inches wide
- Margins (edges) entire (smooth)
- Not as wrinkled as V. rhytidophyllum
Flowers:
- Creamy-white in 3- to 4-inch diameter, flat-topped
clusters
Fruit:
- Reddish changing to black late August through September

Viburnum
cassinoides
Leaves 1.5 to 3.5 inches long, .75 to 2.25 inches wide. Teeth
rounded and widely spaced. |

rhytidophyllum
Leaves 3 to 7 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, more wrinkled appearance, more evergreen. |
