Lewis mite has been observed on poinsettias over the last several
years. They are a little smaller than twospotted spider mites and
lack the two distinct green spots. The injury on poinsettia leaves
is a very fine stippling, giving an overall effect similar to nitrogen
deficiency. Check with your extension specialist on current control
options since not all miticides are equally effective.
