Serpentine leafminers have reappeared recently as a pest of chrysanthemum.
Gerbera is another common host. Inspect cuttings on arrival for mines
and feeding punctures. This pest is notorious for developing resistance
to insecticides, so rotation among materials with different modes of
action is important. There has also been some success with biological
control.
