Fruits as Ornamentals

by Marvin Pritts

Strawberries are the first fruits of spring, easy to grow, and extremely high in Vitamin C

.

Strawberries are also available that fruit from June through frost. Dayneutral varieties, such as Tribute, Tristar, and Everest, are insensitive to day length so will flower and fruit continuously during the growing season.

Harvesting delicious strawberries as the leaves fall is a unique experience, and one that will make you the envy of your neighbors.
