Fruits as Ornamentals

by Marvin Pritts

Pest resistant varieties of many other fruiting plants are available, such as:

  • Concord and Niagara grapes
  • Earliglow, Scott, Allstar and Northeaster strawberries
  • Killarney and Royalty raspberries
  • most blueberries, including Duke, Bluecrop and Blueray

So, it is not true that fruiting plants are unacceptable choices in the landscape because they require excessive spraying.
